WELCOME

This blog follows both my personal and professional life, featuring my children, photography jobs, and of course, my love for animals. It's basically my own personal photo album combined with an information source for my clients. This site is very informal and allows me to share a little bit of my personality with you. :)

Easter Egg Hunt

Okay...so I have been so behind in my blog. Between the kids getting sick and Easter, it seems like I have been so busy. I am finally just getting the pictures posted from the Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday. Easter Sunday's pictures will soon follow. We had a lot of fun at the neighborhood egg hunt. Kenyon got about sixteen eggs filled with candy and was very pumped!

Utah's Hogle Zoo

On Saturday, we went to the zoo. It was so much fun! It was Hailey's first time at the zoo since the last time we went there was Father's Day and walking around the zoo that day is what put me into labor (LOL). As always, she enjoyed just watching the people and taking it all in. Kenyon's favorite animal was the giraffe (especially the baby) and he LOVED the kettle corn. We bought a membership for the year so that will be a nice thing for us to be able to go to the zoo whenever we want. :) ENJOY!

SICK!!!

Okay...so this weekend/week has been terrible. On Friday evening, Hailey spiked a 102.8 fever. I tried all night to get it down, but never got it below 101.2. On Saturday, we took her to the doctors. He said that she basically had a fever with no symptoms, so he wanted to run a urinalysis and blood work to make sure it wasn't something serious like Bacterial Meningitis or a blood infection. We left there and went over to the hospital for the lab to take her blood. After nine attempts to find a vein, they ended up sending us over to the Emergency Room and they put an IV in Hailey's head to get blood from her. It was so sad. Anyways, in the end after a special visit to the doctor's on Sunday, we found out that she has Coxsakie Virus which is canker-like sores in her mouth and down her throat. It is extremely contagious and has been terrible because it hurts to swallow. They gave her Tylenol with Codienefor the pain, but since it is viral there is nothing they can do to make her better. Needless to say, it was a long weekend. Especially when we went to Grandma's to pick up Kenyon Sunday night and he spiked a 103.0 fever with the same symptoms. I wouldn't curse this on my worst enemy...

Visit to Grandma's

Hailey and Kenyon are so blessed to still have their great-great grandma. She is my mom's, mom's, mom. She will be 94 years old in May and still looks wonderful! We spent the day with all five generations. Definitely a GREAT experience!

Bear River Bird Refuge

On Saturday, we went on a usual trip to the Bear River Bird Refuge. It seems to be our favorite place to go on road trips, but this is kind of the boring time to go because most of the winter birds have migrated, but the spring ones haven't migrated here yet. But one of the cool things we saw were the Tundra swans. They come here from Alaska in the thousands (one of the few places with such a high concentration). We also saw lots of ducks and some deer. ENJOY!

Of course, a bird refuge isn't a bird refuge without the sea gulls...
Lots of duck and goos hunting that goes on here...
