Yesterday we went for a quick jaunt over to the Bear River Bird Refuge with Grandma Honey. We saw quite a few critters including three deer (one of which was a buck), sandpipers, snowy egrets, ibis, Great Blue Herrons, Sand Hill Cranes, avocets, black neck stilts, white pelicans, swallows, red-tailed hawks, cattle egrets, a weasel, and lots and lots of ducks. I am always excited when the migratory birds start coming in because they are definitely my favorite. The best part was watching a Great Blue Herron eat a snake (that was definitely a first for us).
