This blog follows both my personal and professional life, featuring my children, photography jobs, and of course, my love for animals. It's basically my own personal photo album combined with an information source for my clients. This site is very informal and allows me to share a little bit of my personality with you. :)

What a gorgeous family! I always feel so lucky because I am able to work with such gorgeous people which definitely makes my job that much more simple. ENJOY!

I love, love, love this one!
I first met Jordon and Haylie when they were in the wedding party for Kristyn and Lance's wedding (here) last September.

The Attitude of Gratitude

I couldn't go to bed without writing a blog entry tonight.
I am not one to really write fancy or beautiful things - in fact - my writing skills STINK. But I definitely had to mention that I am grateful for so many things - more than I can even begin to list.

This year has been kind of a roller coaster ride - I have had a lot of high times and some lows...not too many lows, but the ones I have had haven't been the greatest. I was reading a quote from Buddha that said "Let us rise up and be thankful, for if we didn't learn a lot today, at least we learned a little, and if we didn't learn a little, at least we didn't get sick, and if we did get sick, at least we didn't die; so, let us all be thankful." I couldn't have used a better quote to describe my feelings.

As hard as this year has been with all of my health issues, I am grateful. Grateful that it's not worse than it is...though many things are still left unanswered, I am not dead or even close to dying and I have so much love and support from my family, friends and clients. What a wonderful thing to be grateful for...

Kenyon, my five year old son, came home from school the other day and said "Mom, what presents do we get on Thanksgiving?"

I replied, "Kenyon, we don't get presents on Thanksgiving, it's a day that we need to take extra special time out to thank God for all of our blessings...to tell Him all the things we are grateful for."

Kenyon replied, "Mom, I did that in school today. I was playing with a toy in the classroom and I looked up and thanked God for my school, my teacher and my toys."

This couldn't have taught me a better lesson. Today and many other days, I am grateful. Grateful to be a mom, a wife, a friend, a photographer, but more than anything - just to BE.

Thanks everyone for all of you love and support!

Also, I am thankful for this beautiful family...make sure you come back to see their amazing pictures :) For now, here's a sneak peek!

The Robisons - Wheeler Farm

Meet the Robison Family.

I met Susan a little over five years ago. At first, we weren't great friends...in fact, she thought I was just a snobby self righteous Mormon girl and to be honest, I wasn't very fond of her either. It's funny the way things come about...One day she had started working at the branch of the bank I worked for and neither of us had anything to do for lunch so we decided to go eat at Pepperbelly's together mostly cause we both were craving Mexican food.

From there, I fell in love with her. If any of you know me or have spent even a relatively small amount of time with me, you know I have a problem with talking. I could talk for hours and hours and hours and still never stop. I think Susan is truly one of the few people I have met that can actually keep up with me. We could actually (if we weren't so busy with our kids and lives) have a talking marathon.

We have always joked about how we are sisters from another mother because both of us had quite similar childhoods - not always a smooth journey. I have always believed that a true friend is hard to find, but in Susan I have definitely found that - a true friend. One of those friends that knows more about you than you know about yourself and still loves you anyway...that is Susan.

A person is only complete when she had a true friend to understand her, to share all her passions and sorrows with, and to stand by her throughout her life. Susan, you complete me. I love you! ENJOY!

A VERY Special Post...95 Years

Meet three of the most precious people in my life...my great grandmother, Della she just turned 95 in May, my Grandma Carol, one of my very, very best friends...we talk almost every single day, and last, my Uncle Dallas - one of my very favorite uncles.

When I arrived at Grandma's house to do their pictures, I walked down the hallway as my grandmother called my name. I opened the bedroom door and there stood my beautiful, elegant 95 year old great grandma. I couldn't help but hold back the tears at the sight of her. She looks amazing and has had a rough year - a very rough year. In August, she fell and broke her pelvis - something I thought would definitely shorten my great grandma's time here on earth, but to my surprise...here she stood...three intensive months of physical therapy and against all odds, she stood before me as I helped her put her beautiful earrings on her paper thin ears with tears streaming down my cheeks telling her how beautiful she is. I couldn't help but take a silent moment to give thanks to God for the blessing to still have her. I feel so greatful.
We still have yet to get a photograph of five generations...not just five generations, but five generations of women (any volunteers???) something I definitely need to do. :)

and my incredibly beautiful grandmother...
and my handsome "Uncle D".

Cory and Erin's Wedding: Part Two - This is the Place State Park

Cory and Erin's reception was A-W-E-S-O-M-E! Their colors were yellow and green which definitely is not the typical wedding colors which made it all the more beautiful! Their reception was at This is the Place Heritage Park (which allowed for some great photo ops) and their yummy food was catered by Kneaders Bakery. Also, if you missed it, their engagement session is here. If you want to purchase prints from their wedding day you can find the complete wedding here. ENJOY!

I love the tree with crystals dangling from it...
