WELCOME

This blog follows both my personal and professional life, featuring my children, photography jobs, and of course, my love for animals. It's basically my own personal photo album combined with an information source for my clients. This site is very informal and allows me to share a little bit of my personality with you. :)

Toadally Frogs Exhibit at the Utah Museum of Natural History and wildlife on Antelope Island

This weekend we went to the Utah Museum of Natural History in SLC and to Antelope Island.  Here are some of the shots that I took. The frogs were somewaht difficult to take any great shots of because they do not allow flash and the lighting is very dark.  Enjoy!

I thought it was creepy how his eyes look so much like humans...
A poison dart frog...

This guy was about the size of the tip of my thumb...very tiny.
And on to Antelope Island

Some Antelope Sparring...

A Meadowlark singing...
A pheasant...they are always running away...
The antelope closer...
A non-typical antelope...
We did see some coyote's and rabbits too, but they were either too far or too fast. :)

Atley's Birthday Party

I did another party for Brittany, in fact two, there's a baby shower that I need to post also.  She does awesome work! This was en eco-friendly artist party for a six year old. So cute and creative! ENJOY!

The invitation...Brittany handmade these from junk paper mail...so cute!
I love the easels...
She made these...ABC crayons as the party favor for the kids to take home...

These were for the table where they drew on a circle with these markers and send them into a company after the party to make plates for each of the guests...
The cute, cute cupcakes...again, I want to mention that everything is organic...
One of the other tables was a playdough table...
Crayons also, for the budding artists...
Atley's birthday cupcake...
The famous birthday girl!

Painting at the easels...

The yummy fruit juice...p.s. look how cute the plates are too!
Her cute homemade streamers...

At another table, they made fruit loop necklaces...
Yum!
I think these were one of my favorites! She made these aprons out of old dress shirts...HOW CREATIVE!

I loved this shot!
Everybody went home very HAPPY!
Stay tuned for the baby shower!

Olivia Ray's Newborn Session

Olivia is such a sweet baby. I was a little concerned when her mom called me and said that she was already three weeks old because the older they are, the harder they are to photograph as newborns because they don't sleep nearly as much or as sound. She started crying right in the beginning, but after eating, she was sleeping like a bug in a rug. :) Thank you April for being so patient with my crazy ideas and thought process and for allowing me the oportunity to share in such a special time in your lives. ENJOY!

Wide awake on Mommy and Daddy's bed...
Getting sleepy...
Wide awake again...
Sound, sound alseep. She slept from here on out to the end...

The classic dresser shot that I love so much!
I love this one. I used an antique finish and a warming filter...

YAWN!

Yawn again...
Weren't her mommy's nails so pretty for St. Patrick's Day? And of course the toes...so cute I could eat them. :)
