This blog follows both my personal and professional life, featuring my children, photography jobs, and of course, my love for animals. It's basically my own personal photo album combined with an information source for my clients. This site is very informal and allows me to share a little bit of my personality with you. :)

Yellowstone National Park - Family Vacation Part Three

Okay...so here we are...Day three...we journeyed from West Yellowstone along the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone (Artist Point) then back to Mammoth up over cook pass and then the Via Inez pass into Cody, Wyoming. Yes - a ton of driving! But all worth it...if you have the time, this is a gorgeous drive but long and steep switchbacks and a ton of time in the car.

A cow elk.
Mr Buffalo eating his boogers...
My kiddos...
Yellowstone river - I think...
My kiddos and me at Artist Point...
What a nut!
Artist Point...gorgeous!
Home, home on the range...
Looking out from the top of the Via Inez pass...it was so much prettier and I really wish I could have waited for the perfect light...but that's the joy of traveling with kids :)
Mr. Chipmunk
Kenyon looking in the mirror
And last...me with my crazy windy hair...and usually what I look like...the camera in front of my face :)
Keep watching...I have one more day from this trip to post with Mr. Grizzly and then our trip last weekend :)

Yellowstone National Park - September 2009 - Day Two of Family Vacation

Here is day two of our trip...We saw a lot of wildlife - a bull elk, bison and mr. Coyote - well and some more, but they were too far away to get any good shots of.

Matt and the kids in an old tree...
The hot springs
One of the many waterfalls in Yellowstone National Park
I love lily pads
Mr. Coyote
A close up of Mr. Coyote
Some stupid idiot was standing with his girlfriend at this hot spring when I got out of the car to take a picture and he said "I wonder how hot it is." I said "Well, it's boiling. Why don't you touch it?" so he goes over and sticks his hand in the water afterwards quickly pulling it out and says "I think it was about 173 degrees." What an idiot!!!
White Dome Geyser
Mr. Bison
I wish I would have had an HD Neutral filter on this one...it would have been much better...
Mr. Elk eating the tree
Mr Elk rubbing his horns...

And my personal favorite of Mr. Elk...
"Where did everybody go?"
My sweet Hailey...
Make sure to come back for more from our end of the summer family trip to Yellowstone National Park...including Mr. Grizzly bear!

Yellowstone National Park - Day One - September 2009

I know, I know, a much overdue post...considering we just got back from another trip to Yellowstone this weekend and I haven't even posted September's trip. I have just been so busy that I haven't taken the time out for my personal stuff. For those of you who have never been to Yellowstone I would highly recommend it. I love it there, but that might be because I love animals and wildlife so much :) So without rambling for days...here is day one...left home, drove through Jackson Hole, Wyoming, then Teton National Park, then through Yellowstone NAtional Park and into West Yellowstone to our hotel.

A barn on our way there...
I loved this one of Matt walking with the kids.
One of me with the kiddos...I don't have a lot of pictures with me because I am always behind the camera.
Old Faithful in Yellowstone National Park...this was my very first time seeing it.
I know a blurry pictures of us...because no one knows how to use my camera :)
The gorgeous moon on our way out of the park.
Come back to see more!!! :)

Shane and Daniele's Wedding at the Salt Lake Utah LDS Temple and the JSMB

It was a beautiful day for Shane and Daniele's wedding...very cold and somewhat overcast...but still a nice day. I have felt a special bond with Daniele since the first time I met her...she reminds me so much of me - she definitely is much prettier :) ten years ago...so full of life and energy with so many dreams and aspirations to look forward to. I wish you two nothing but the best married life has to offer.

I love this one of them walking out of the temple...

These next two I shot with my 16mm f/2.8 fisheye lens. :) Gotta love the fisheye!

What a handsome guy!
I think this is one of my very favorites from the day!

Taking the plunge...

Her sister is a hair stylist and I think she did an AWESOME job!
The reception before all the guests arrived...
The place settings for dinner...this is one of my favorite parts is all the good food!
Her mom was reading a story about Danielle that she wrote when she was younger...

Shane played the piano and sang a love song to her...so romantic!
The centerpieces for the reception...

I absolutely loved their cake!

Okay, so I know it totally looks like I am posing, but I'm not. Matt just shot this as I was trying to straighten her canvas in the easel...Do I always look this awful?
They nailed each other with the cake...
he won though...
I love grandma's expression in the back :)
the toast...
had to get one of her kissing her dad.
GQ-ing it
Not my car!!!
It was a lot better than some I've seen :)
