Braeden and Cassi's Rainy Wedding in the Nauvoo Illinois LDS Temple and Reception in Iowa City

I know I already posted some of these a while back, mostly the Nauvoo, Illinois LDS temple ones, but I didn't want to leave out the details from the reception in Iowa City - they were amazing. Even though it rained and rained and rained, it was absolutely beautiful! More than that, almost everything you see is things that either Cassi or her mom, Heidi made themselves - yes ladies that does include the vintage brooch bouquet and the paper rose bouquets for the bridesmaids. Both Cassi and her mom, Heidi are amazingly talented! ENJOY!

Cassi made the box that Braeden's ring went in and gave it to him as a gift before going into the temple.

The antique brooch bouquet Cassi's mom, Heidi made.

The gorgeous paper rose bouquet her mom, Heidi made for the bridesmaids.

The Cake toppers.

The sign-in table

I love the way Braeden is looking at his mom here.

I Want to Marry the Bug Man

So today when I was giving Hailey a bath, she was worried that I would be sitting on the ants on the bathroom floor when I was washing her hair. I told her that the bug man came to our house and got rid of the ants so they weren't there anymore. She replied" Mom, I love the bug man. In fact, when I am older I am going to marry the bug man so I don't have any more bugs to deal with." Kids really do say the darndest things :)

Jeff and Debbie's Engagements at Antelope Island State Park, Utah

I had so much fun shooting these two and am so excited for their wedding! We arrived at Antelope Island and shot over at the ranch first, then we went over to the beach where, as we were walking down, a black cloud came right over us and literally dumped on us. There really wasn't anywhere to run for cover, so we just stayed and laughed as the rain drenched us. I don't think I could have asked to be with a more fun couple than these two. Most people who are getting their pictures done would have cried as the rain poured down and ruined hair and makeup, but not these two. Instead, we laughed and seriously, I think it was one of the most fun times I have ever had with my clients. In fact, I went home that night and thought about how much fun we had. So a special thank you to both of you for making my night so much fun!!! In this post, you will also find two pictures of me...sopping wet...well at least my back side was, I put my camera in front of me and tried to keep it as dry as possible. ENJOY!

Dan and Rachael's Wedding at the Oquirrh Mountain Temple and Reception in Lehi, Utah Wedding Photographer

Dan and Rachael got married in the Oquirrh Mountain LDS Temple in South Jordan, Utah follwed by a backyard reception in Lehi, Utah. The weather couldn't have been more gorgeous with beautiful clouds and a nice breeze to keep us cool. Rachael has a personality that is bigger than life itself, in fact, I noticed it ran throughout the entire family - both families. I hadn't met Rachael before the day of her wedding - we shared many phone conversations, but by the end of the day I really felt as if I was part of her family. Their laughter and smile is contagious and I bet you can't look at these pictures without smiling to yourself.

Dan and Rachael- I wish you both nothing but continued happiness and can feel the love that both of you have for each other radiating from each and every fiber of your beings. Thank you for allowing Matt and I to feel part of your family in such a short amount of time. You both truly are wonderful and are completely made for each other. -All my love, Melissa
